Dennis pondering the packing dilemia
It is always a little scary packing for an extended bicycle trip.  You are always worrying that something really important is going to be left behind and your pile of gear grows to the point that it seems like an impossible task to pack all this stuff on one bicycle.  Somehow, Geri and I always manage to fit everything on our tandem bike, but it takes every available square centimeter of packing space to do it.  For this trip, we will have to haul even more gear than usual, because we were never able to figure out how to download photos from our cell phone to this blog.  So we are going to bring a laptop computer and add pictures to the site when we stumble upon a WiFi hotspot as we travel.  As a result, we hope to blog text of our adventure nearly everyday, but photos will only be added once in a while.  Fortunately, the mechanics of this blog will allow us to add the photos directly to the blog posts that they are associated with and they will not have to be placed with newer blog posts that have nothing to do with the pictures.  So, if you plan to follow our expedition in cyberspace, be sure to look back at old blog posts once in a while to see if we added any photos.  We hope to have photos eventually for every blog entry.  Wish us luck!  We plan to leave tomorrow morning.
